Excellent venue at Knock Farm, Knock, Nr Huntly , AB54 7LD. 

Toilet block with showers. 

 

Crewing will only be possible around public roads.

 

Classes:  80, 60, 50, 30,  Long Pl/Tr, Short Pl/Tr, Taster


Camping, corralling, stabling

Camping and Corralling 20 per night, 
Camping and Stable 25 per night - limited number of stables available 
Additional 6.00 levy per rider 

Venue will be on grass, the venue is a farm with Livery Facilities and they can provide a limited amount of stabling as well as corralling and camping opportunities. There will be a one way system in and out of the field water can be made available. There will be B&B's and hotels available in the area, either rurally, or in Huntly and Keith.

10km Taster is on specific riding tracks on Knock Farm 95% grass tracks or fields / 5% farm tracks - low level ride.
Short and Long Pleasure 75% grassy tracks / 25% forest tracks, but earth and stone rather than hardcore - low level ride.
30km 20% grassy tracks and fields / 75% forestry tracks / 5% hardcore old railway track- mostly low level ride, smallish hill.
50km combination of 30km and short pleasure ride
60km combination of 30km and long pleasure ride
80km to be confirmed
All vettings will take place at the venue.

From Aberdeen and the South, take the A96 to Huntly. Go straight on at the roundabout and 2nd on your right and take the B9022 Portsoy road. After 14.6 kilometres (9 miles), turn LEFT at road signposted Knock.  Pass the distillery and carry on up the road to turn into the venue field at Knock Farm.

From Inverness and the North, take A96 to Keith, turn left onto the A95 to Banff (turn off opposite the royal Hotel).  After 11 kms (8 miles) turn right into the road signposted Knock, the venue is at the farm.

 

DOGS: Knock Farm is a busy working farm. Dogs are not permitted on any part of the course. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times at the venue.

 

MARKING: The ride will be marked with spray paint on the ground and Red and white tapes.

TAKE CARE HALF WAY DOWN THE RAILWAY LINE THERE IS A SINGLE FILE HORSE SECTION VERY SHORT BUT HORSES GO IN BOTH DIRECTIONS.  ALSO THERE IS A SINGLE FILE HORSE SECTION WITH HORSES GOING IN BOTH DIRECTIONS ON THE ISLA STRETCH OF THE LONG PLEASURE ROUTE.
